On July 17th, 1749, Governor Cornwallis granted a license to sell Beer and Liquor to a Mr. John Shippey. We have continued his tradition to this day, crafting a line of British inspired ales that embody taste, tradition and flavor.

You will find on our menu beer pairings that help to enhance the flavors of the food. We hope you join us and enjoy a pint of John Shippey's finest.

Split Crow Cream Ale

A Slightly Malty and lightly hopped, golden-amber ale with a creamy head.

Left Coast IPA

Hops! Lots of them. Provides a dry bitterness with tones of citrus.

Rafter Red Ale

A smooth, medium bodied Irish red ale, with a distinct malt flavor.

Bootlegger’s Nut Brown

A rich, dark brown ale. Malty with a subtle sweet finish.
